Who is the Venty Vaporizer for?

The Venty is the flagship portable from Storz & Bickel, the German makers of the Volcano. Even in 2026, it is consistently rated among the best portable vaporizers available, and the reasons are easy to feel: an effortless draw, a powerful heater, and battery life that few portables can match. Daily users who want a vape with no technique and no fuss are exactly who it was built for.

The Venty costs more than most portables, and it is a large vape that fills a whole pocket. That size is part of the deal. It buys airflow, power, and battery endurance that smaller vapes cannot match. At home on the desk, in a bag, or passed around with friends, the Venty delivers a draw that is hard to give up once you have tried it.

Built Solid, Cool to Hold

The Venty stands about 16 cm tall, weighs 252 g, and is the largest portable Storz & Bickel makes. The body is made from PEEK, a heat-resistant plastic used in medical and aerospace equipment. It stays cool in the hand, even after back-to-back sessions.

The flat bottom lets the vape stand upright on a table. Like every S&B vaporizer, the Venty is built in the company's medical-grade facility in Germany and is UL certified.

For transport, you can add the smell-proof Venty case, a hard shell case shaped exactly for this vape.

A New Heater with Real Power

The Venty uses a completely new hybrid heating system, the first ground-up heater redesign from S&B in decades. Conduction warms the chamber directly, while convection sends hot air through the herbs with every inhalation. Behind it sits a 130 W heater, far more power than typical portables carry.

That power makes the Venty quick. It reaches temperature in about 20 seconds, roughly the time it takes to grind your herbs. The name is a nod to this: "Venty" comes from "venti", the Italian word for twenty.

Airflow You Control

Airflow is the reason people buy this vape. A dial on the side adjusts the air intake up to 20 L/min, double the Mighty+, and at the open end the draw feels like breathing through a wide straw. There is almost no resistance at all, which makes the Venty a strong choice for anyone with limited lung power.

Inside sits a patented flow meter that measures your draw speed in real time and adjusts the heater to match. Pull hard and the heater gets an immediate burst of extra power, so the vapour stays consistent no matter how you inhale. Other wide-airflow vapes go thin when you draw fast; the Venty does not.

Wide open is the best starting point, and most owners simply leave the dial there. A practical tip: close the dial when the vape is not in use, as this helps contain smell.

Smooth, Cool Vapour

After the chamber, vapour travels through a double-walled cooling unit, built like a thermos with an insulating gap between its two walls. That gap keeps the heat inside, so the housing stays safe to touch while the extended air path cools each draw before it reaches the mouthpiece. An integrated stainless steel screen adds a layer of filtration.

The result is vapour that is comfortable from the first draw to the last, with flavour that holds across the whole session. Older S&B portables had a slight scratch in the throat; the Venty's cooling unit has largely solved it.

If you enjoy water filtration, the water pipe adapter with bubbler (sold separately) slips over the mouthpiece and runs the vapour through water for even cooler sessions.

Temperature You Can Taste

The Venty heats anywhere between 40°C and 210°C, adjustable in single-degree steps with the two front buttons. The display shows the exact temperature and turns green when the target is reached, with a short vibration so you feel it without looking.

A double click of the side button jumps to a 195°C boost, and another double click reaches the 210°C super boost. A popular approach is to start at 180°C for flavour, then boost upward as the session goes on. Lower temperatures preserve lighter compounds and terpenes, while higher temperatures extract more material in fewer draws.

Chamber and Dosing Capsules

The chamber holds approximately 0.25 g of ground herbs and has a hard ceramic coating, so it resists wear and wipes clean. It is forgiving about grind and fill level. You can load a loose pinch or fill it to the top, and no stirring is needed during the session.

The Venty also accepts S&B dosing capsules, small reusable aluminium containers holding approximately 0.15 g each. You fill them in advance, drop one into the chamber, and the chamber itself stays almost clean. The same capsules work across every portable and desktop model from this brand.

You can build out the capsule workflow with optional add-ons: a magazine that stores eight filled capsules, a capsule caddy that clips four to your keychain, and a filling kit that fills 40 capsules in one sitting.

An App You Set Up Once

The Venty pairs over Bluetooth with the S&B web app, which runs in a Chrome or Edge browser at app.storz-bickel.com, or through the BLUEFLY app on iOS. No download is needed for the browser version.

The app is genuinely useful for a few things: customising the boost temperatures, switching on the ECO charging mode that protects battery health, adjusting vibration strength and display brightness, and installing firmware updates. It also tracks total usage hours.

The vape works fully without it. All daily controls sit on the vape itself, and most owners open the app once, set their preferences, and rarely return.

How to Use the Venty

The controls are straightforward: one side button, two temperature buttons, and the airflow dial. A full session looks like this.

  1. Loading: Twist off the cooling unit, fill the chamber with up to 0.25 g of herbs or drop in a dosing capsule, then twist the cooling unit back on.
  2. Heating: Press the side button once. The vape heats to your last-used temperature in about 20 seconds, then vibrates and shows a green display when ready.
  3. Inhaling: Take slow, steady draws with the dial wide open. The first draw is lighter; full output arrives by the second or third.
  4. Boosting: Double-click the side button to jump to 195°C, and again for 210°C to finish the extraction. One more double click returns to your base temperature.
  5. Finishing: Hold the side button to switch the Venty off; if you forget, it vibrates and shuts itself off after about two minutes of inactivity. Empty the chamber while it is still slightly warm.

Battery for Full Days

Two internal 18650 cells deliver 10 to 14 sessions per charge, which for most people means charging once a day or less, much like a phone. The cells are sealed inside the body and are not user-replaceable. They are built for years of daily charging, and the app's ECO charging mode protects them further.

The Venty charges over USB-C and is designed to be charged between sessions, as it does not run while plugged in. The port sits on the bottom, so the vape lies on its side during charging. A standard charger takes two to three hours.

The box includes a USB-C cable but no wall adapter. The optional fast charger fills that gap and brings the Venty to 80% in about 40 minutes.

Cleaning Made Simple

Daily upkeep takes seconds: empty the chamber while it is still slightly warm and give it a pass with the included brush. Dosing capsules reduce this even further, since residue stays in the capsule.

Every few weeks the cooling unit needs a deeper clean. It separates into several pieces, and the mouthpiece cleverly doubles as the tool that unlocks the rotary cap. The pieces go into an isopropyl alcohol soak, then a rinse, and they come out like new.

Many owners keep a second cooling unit (sold separately) in rotation, fitting a clean one while the other soaks.

Venty vs Mighty+

The Mighty+ is S&B's long-running former flagship, a proven session vape with years of reliability behind it. It costs less, supports pass-through charging so it runs while plugged in, and uses a simple three-button interface with no app at all.

The Venty is ready in a third of the time, about 20 seconds against roughly a minute. It also offers double the airflow with an adjustable dial, and more sessions per charge at 10 to 14 against 8 to 12. Both share the same 0.25 g chamber and the same dosing capsules.

If a lower price and plugged-in use matter most, the Mighty+ makes sense. The Venty's draw and endurance are what you pay the difference for.

Venty vs PAX Flow

The PAX Flow is a sleek, pocket-first premium portable at roughly half the Venty's weight, 135 g against 252 g. It offers a slightly larger 0.3 g chamber, hybrid heating, and a dedicated Bong Mode.

The Venty answers with airflow you can actually adjust, a dial the Flow does not have, backed by the smart flow meter that keeps every draw consistent. It also runs roughly twice as many sessions per charge.

Pocket carry favours the Flow; draw quality and endurance favour the Venty.

Venty vs Frolic

The Frolic is a premium portable with its own adjustable airflow, plus a replaceable battery, an on-demand mode, and a 25 L/min airflow ceiling that goes beyond the Venty's 20.

The Venty counters with the well-established S&B ecosystem of dosing capsules, spare parts, and accessories, plus a web app the Frolic does not offer. UL certification and German manufacturing add an extra layer of reassurance.

Single powerful draws favour the Frolic; relaxed, comfortable sessions are where the Venty earns its place.

Venty vs Tinymight 2

The Tinymight 2 is an enthusiast favourite, a high-end convection portable with near-instant on-demand heat and a user-swappable 18650 battery. It hits harder in a single draw and slips into a pocket more easily.

The Venty offers consistent draws with no technique, thanks to the flow meter that adapts the heater to any inhale. It adds the dosing capsule ecosystem, the web app, and through a water pipe it produces cooler, easier draws with no combustion risk even at full temperature.

The Tinymight 2 rewards technique; the Venty asks for none.

Recommended Accessories

Right now we offer a 25% discount on all accessories when you buy any vaporizer here at MagicVaporizers. These are the add-ons we would pick first for the Venty.

USB-C Fast Charger (45W): The box has no wall adapter, and this charger unlocks the full fast-charge speed, 80% in about 40 minutes.

Venty Case: A smell-proof hard case for carrying the Venty in a bag, and the most popular Venty accessory we stock.

Magazine with 8 Dosing Capsules: Pre-fill eight sessions at home and swap capsules during the day without repacking.

Capsule Caddy with 4 Dosing Capsules: Clips to a keyring and carries four sealed capsules for an afternoon away from home.

Dosing Capsules (40-pack): 40 more reusable capsules to expand your pre-loaded rotation.

Kit for Filling Dosing Capsules: Fill 40 capsules in one sitting and cover a week or more of sessions.

Plunger for Dosing Capsules: Opens and closes capsule lids cleanly, with none of the bending that comes from prying them off by hand. Lids fit tighter after a few heat cycles, so this tool earns its place quickly.

Filling Funnel: Screws on in place of the cooling unit and guides ground herbs cleanly into the chamber, with no spills over the edge.

Water Pipe Adapter with Bubbler: Run the Venty through water for cooler, filtered sessions.

Accessory Set: A grinder, filling aid, screens, brush, and capsule caddy that cover preparation through to cleaning.

Cooling Unit: Keep one in rotation so a clean unit goes on while the other soaks.

Mouthpieces (4-pack): Four spares so everyone can fit their own for shared sessions.

Screen Set: New screens open the air path again and bring back a cleaner taste.

Seal Ring Set: A complete set of replacement seals for when the draw starts to feel leaky.

Wear & Tear Set: Renews every consumable part in one go after months of daily use.
