Plunger for Dosing Capsules

The plunger is a small hand tool for capping and uncapping Storz & Bickel dosing capsules. A silicone sleeve on the tip grips a thin aluminium lid evenly. You can lift the lid off, or press it onto a filled capsule, without bending its rim.

To close a capsule: press the silicone tip onto a lid lying flat on a table. The sleeve grips it on contact. Position the tool over a filled capsule and push down until the lid sits flush. Press the orange button on top of the tool to release the capped capsule from it.

To open a capsule: press the silicone tip onto the lid while the capsule sits in its magazine or on a flat surface. The sleeve grips the lid, and you lift it straight up. The even grip prevents the warping you get from prying lids off by hand. That matters most after a few heat cycles, once the lids fit more tightly.
