The Puffco The Hot Knife is the original heated loading tool in Puffco's Hot Knife line, made for people who load their own concentrate chamber. It exists to solve one thing: sticky extract that welds itself to a cold metal tool.

It does that one job and nothing else, so it works alongside a concentrate vaporizer or rig you already own. That focus is the point. There are no menus, no settings and no app, and each load takes about three seconds from a warm tip to the chamber.

Concentrate grips a cold tool and stays put. That means mess on your fingers, mess on the surface you are working over, and mess on the tool itself.

Material left clinging to a tool also collects dust and lint on the way to the chamber, so part of the dose is wasted before it ever gets there.

The Hot Knife takes the cause away with a ceramic tip that heats on demand. Warm extract releases from the tip and goes where you aim it, much like a warm knife passing through something sticky.

Everything runs from a single button, so the tool works the way you would expect the first time you pick it up.

1. Charging: Top it up over USB-C before first use. A full charge takes about 30 minutes.
2. Heating: Press and hold the button to heat the ceramic tip.
3. Picking up: Touch the warm tip to your concentrate and lift the amount you want.
4. Loading: Hold the tip over the chamber of your concentrate vaporizer or rig. The concentrate slides off in about 3 seconds.
5. Finishing: Release the button and set the tool down to cool. Nothing stays stuck to the tip.

The Hot Knife charges over USB-C and reaches a full charge in about 30 minutes, roughly the length of a coffee break. Puffco state at least 50 uses per charge, so it stays available across many loading sessions before it needs the cable again.

There is no app, no pairing and no phone involved. One button covers the whole job.

Puffco has since redesigned this tool, and the New Hot Knife is the current model in the line for anyone who misses these last pieces. This original version does the same core job, with a charge time of about 30 minutes here against 25 minutes on the redesigned model, and it carries the same two-year warranty.
