Who is the XVape Fog Pro for?
The XVape Fog Pro is the convection model in the XVape/XMax family, alongside the Starry, which uses conduction heating. Reviewers consistently praise it as a portable vaporizer designed above all for flavour, and it suits solo users who want to taste every note of their herbs.
The Fog Pro is tuned for flavour first, and the chamber is sized for personal sessions. Convection portables with a cell you can swap yourself are still uncommon at this price in 2026. Pack a charged spare and the vaporizer easily lasts a long hike or a festival day, even where there is no power outlet.
Small Enough to Vanish in a Pocket
The Fog Pro measures 4.4 × 2.6 × 10 cm and weighs 159 g, so it fits fully in your palm and slips into a jeans pocket without showing.
The body is anodised aluminium with a matte satin finish and a subtle printed topographic map graphic. Three tactile buttons and a small OLED screen sit on one side, next to the USB-C port.
You lift the magnetic top cap straight off: there are no threads to unscrew and no catch to press. The weight also lets the Fog Pro stand upright on a table between draws.
Convection Heat for Clean Flavour
The Fog Pro heats by convection. Air is drawn in through the sides, heated, and pushed up through jets in the base of the chamber, so the herbs sit in a moving stream of hot air like clothes in a tumble dryer. The herbs never touch the heating element.
The Fog Pro is ready in about 15 seconds at 180°C, and under 30 seconds at the 220°C ceiling. That is roughly the time it takes to grind a small load. A short vibration tells you when the set temperature is reached.
Convection also shows in what comes out of the chamber. Used herbs come out an even light brown with no scorched patches, which is the sign of heat passing through the load rather than searing it from one side.
A Vapour Path of Steel, Ceramic and Zirconia
Vapour leaves the stainless steel oven, passes through a ceramic airflow box and a metal screen, then reaches the zirconia ceramic mouthpiece. Nothing on that path adds a taste of its own, which is a large part of why the flavour stays so clean.
Zirconia is chemically neutral and far harder than glass. On the lips it feels as smooth as metal without the cold, and it holds up to years of heat cycles.
The draw itself is free and open, with a wider mouthpiece opening than the original Fog. Airflow is fixed, so there is nothing to adjust before a session.
The Fog Pro has no native water pipe connection. You can add a Water Pipe Adapter with Bubbler or a simple water pipe adapter, both sold separately, if you want to run the vapour through water.
Temperature Set to the Degree
The Fog Pro runs in single degrees from 100°C to 220°C. One click of the up or down button moves one degree, and holding scrolls quickly through the range. There are no fixed presets that limit your choice.
The OLED screen shows the set temperature, the current temperature, the battery level and the session countdown. The Fog Pro remembers your last setting and begins heating the moment you power it on, so switch it off when you are not drawing.
Around 180°C to 190°C preserves the lighter compounds and gives the cleanest taste. Settings near 200°C to 210°C pull more from the load in fewer draws. Most sessions sit comfortably between 188°C and 199°C.
If the herbs still look only partly extracted at the end, step up 5°C to 10°C and give them a stir. The Fog Pro works best at a slightly higher setting than a conduction vape would need.
A Chamber Sized for Personal Sessions
The stainless steel oven holds around 0.2 g to 0.3 g of ground herbs, which is a personal-size load. A sloped area around the opening makes filling easier and catches stray material.
Loading works best with a coarse grind and a loose pack. Keep the herbs loose and fluffy rather than compressed, and never fill above the top of the chamber, since part of the mouthpiece sits down inside it. The stir tool hides in a small hole in the side of the body, so you can turn the load mid-session without opening anything else.
The TightVac MiniVac (sold separately) keeps pre-ground herbs sealed and pocketable, which works well if you grind coarsely and pack loosely.
Herbs and Concentrates in One Vape
One wax cup is included in the box, so concentrate use needs no extra purchase. The cup drops into the oven and you load it with the built-in tool, filling it about half way.
Run concentrates at or near the 220°C ceiling. The Fog Pro keeps heating while you draw, which supplies the extra warmth solid concentrates need. The 220°C ceiling is on the low side for this material, so some concentrates suit it better than others.
Lift the cup out with tweezers while it is still warm; tweezers are not part of the kit. A second wax cup is available on its own if you would rather keep one loaded and one for herbs.
How to Use the XVape Fog Pro
Three buttons on the side handle everything: power, up and down.
- Loading: Lift off the magnetic cap, take out the mouthpiece and fill the oven with coarsely ground, dry herbs. Keep the pack loose and below the rim.
- Heating: Press the mouthpiece and cap back on, then triple-click the power button. Heating starts straight away.
- Setting the temperature: Click up or down for one degree at a time, or hold to scroll. Around 180°C to 190°C is a good starting point.
- Drawing: The Fog Pro vibrates at temperature and the countdown begins. Long, slow draws bring out the most flavour, and waiting a further 20 seconds after the vibration helps.
- Stirring: Pull the tool from the side of the body midway through and turn the load over. This is what evens out the extraction.
- Finishing: The session runs for 5 or 10 minutes, switched by holding power and up for two seconds. The Fog Pro vibrates and shuts off at zero. Triple-click to stop early, then tip out the used herbs and brush the chamber.
Battery and Charging: Swap the Cell or Charge It in the Device
The 3200 mAh 18650 cell sits behind a bottom cap and lifts out for a swap in seconds. A full charge covers roughly 6 to 9 sessions, and a charged spare battery means you never have to worry about running out of power during a long day away from home.
Charging runs over USB-C with the cell inside, at 5 V and 1 A. The box includes a cable and no wall plug, so you can charge the Fog Pro from any USB charger or power bank, much like a phone. Plan on charging between sessions, or keep a second cell charged for continuous use.
A few care notes are worth knowing. Remove the insulating tab from the battery and give it a full charge before the first session. Let the Fog Pro cool before you put it away, and never store it with a nearly flat cell, since a battery left below 2% may stop accepting a charge.
For an uninterrupted routine, the Eve 35V - 3500 mAh 18650 Battery gives you a second cell, and the Xtar X2 - Battery Charger fills two cells outside the vape, which is quicker than the 5 V input and saves wear on the port. Both are sold separately.
Only Two Parts Need Cleaning
Only the chamber and the mouthpiece need attention. Brush the oven out after each session with the included brush, and give it an occasional swab with isopropyl alcohol on a cotton bud.
The mouthpiece pulls off gently and separates into three pieces for a deeper clean. Wash them in soapy water, or soak everything except the metal part in cleaning solution for about half an hour. Dry all parts fully, then follow the moulded arrows when you put them back together. A two minute run at the highest temperature afterwards clears any cleaning residue before the next session.
The metal screen collects resin faster than anything else, and only a clean screen keeps the airflow unrestricted.
No spare screens come in the box, so the metal screen, the filter kit and the cleaning set are all worth adding alongside the vape.
Fog Pro vs XMax V4 Pro
The XMax V4 Pro is a newer portable convection vaporizer from the same manufacturer. It adds an on-demand mode that heats only while you hold the button, a three-position airflow slider, and a glass water pipe adapter as part of its own system.
The Fog Pro has three advantages of its own: a 3200 mAh cell against 2550 mAh in the V4 Pro, a stir tool built into the body that you reach mid-session without opening anything, and a wax cup for concentrates already in the box.
If your sessions happen away from sockets and you like the idea of one vape covering both herbs and concentrates, the Fog Pro is the more practical pick.
Fog Pro vs Wolkenkraft FX Mini Ultra
The Wolkenkraft FX Mini Ultra is a compact portable from a newer design generation, sold in the same budget-to-mid segment. Its main selling point is a five-year warranty.
The Fog Pro achieves a long service life in a different way: a battery you replace yourself. When the cell ages, a new 18650 costs little and the vaporizer carries on. The zirconia mouthpiece and the included wax cup complete the package.
If you would rather keep a vape running on cheap replacement cells and swap in a charged one during the day, the Fog Pro fits that habit better.
Recommended Accessories
Right now we offer a 25% discount on all accessories when you buy any vaporizer here at MagicVaporizers. Here is a short guide to what is worth adding to a Fog Pro order.
Eve 35V - 3500 mAh 18650 Battery: A second cell with more capacity than the one in the kit; swap it in when the first runs flat and carry on.
Xtar X2 - Battery Charger: Fill two cells at once outside the vape, so one is always charged while the other is in use.
Water Pipe Adapter with Bubbler: Pull the vapour through water at home for a cooler, softer draw.
Water Pipe Adapter: The simpler route to water filtration if you already own a water piece.
TightVac MiniVac: An airtight pocket container that keeps ground herbs sealed, and it doubles as storage for already-vaped herb between sessions.
TightVac Debowler: Tap the chamber out into it after a session, then move the already-vaped herb into the MiniVac for later use.
Wax Cup: A second cup lets you keep one loaded with concentrate and the other free for herb sessions.
Cleaning Set: Replaces the brush, tool and cotton swabs, which the box includes in a single set with no refills.
Metal Screen: The box contains no spares, and this is the part that clogs first. It is the accessory Fog Pro owners buy most.
Filter Kit: Renews the filter elements inside the mouthpiece assembly for a cleaner taste on the first draw.
Complete Mouthpiece: A full replacement assembly, from magnetic cap to zirconia tip, for when cleaning no longer brings the flavour back.
