Who is the Flowermate Aura for?

The Flowermate Aura is the compact, affordable entry point in the Flowermate range. It is a good fit if you are buying your first vaporizer and want maximum discretion: the pen shape disappears into a jacket pocket, and there are only three buttons you need to learn.

Vapour quality sits above average for its price bracket; more expensive convection portable vaporizers still deliver better flavour. In exchange you get a slim pen that handles herbs, wax and oil from the same chamber. The herb capsule is still our best-selling Flowermate spare, which matches how the Aura is typically used: you fill the doses at home and swap in a fresh capsule while you are out for the day.

A Pen That Vanishes in a Pocket

The Aura measures 2.8 × 2.8 × 14.7 cm and weighs 103 g, which places it between an e-cigarette and a standard portable vaporizer in size. The plastic body carries a silicone coating that improves grip without making the pen any thicker.

The rounded mouthpiece cap pulls off with a slight twist and doubles as the chamber cover. The housing stays cool while the Aura runs, so it is comfortable to hold through a whole session.

The cap is high-grade plastic, and it can crack from a drop or from heat stress over time. A second mouthpiece is inexpensive and worth adding to your order.

Ceramic Heating on a Clean Air Path

The Aura heats by conduction from a ceramic chamber, the Smith ceramic oven used across the Flowermate range. The hot ceramic walls pass their heat straight into the herbs, much like a sun-warmed stone passing warmth into your palm.

Seven heat jets move air through the chamber on a fully isolated path, so vapour never touches the plastic housing and picks up no plastic taste. Flowermate guarantee the herbs will not combust. Used herbs should come out brown, not black.

Airflow is slightly restricted, and clean screens noticeably improve it. Conduction heats from the walls inward, so a stir halfway through evens out the extraction. A stirring tool (sold separately) handles that better than the packing tool in the box.

Temperature Control, Degree by Degree

Temperature runs from 40°C to 230°C in single-degree steps. Press + or − once to change the temperature by one degree, or hold either button down to move through the range faster. The digital LED display shows the current temperature and the battery level, plus a steam symbol when it reaches temperature.

Lower settings around 175°C preserve lighter compounds and terpenes. Higher settings near 200°C extract more material in fewer draws, and 184°C to 190°C is a common working range. Waiting roughly 30 seconds after the steam symbol appears lets the oven even out.

Five rapid presses of the main button turn the Aura on and off, and the same pattern acts as a transport lock. Holding + and − together switches the display between °C and °F.

Chamber and Loading

The ceramic chamber is deep but small, which suits short solo sessions more than passing between people. Stainless steel screens sit in the chamber so the heating element never touches the herbs, and five screens come in the box.

Herbs go either straight into the ceramic oven or into the stainless steel herb capsule, which drops into the chamber. A medium-fine grind suits the small chamber best. No grinder is included.

Extra herb capsules (sold separately) let you pack doses at home and swap a filled one in later without handling loose herbs.

Herbs, Wax and Oil from One Pen

The Aura arrives with two capsules: one stainless steel capsule for ground herbs, and one holding a cotton pad for wax or oil. Both are in the box, which is unusual at this price.

The concentrate capsule keeps the material off the ceramic walls, so you can move between herbs and concentrates without contaminating the chamber. Concentrates are a genuine bonus here; a dedicated wax pen still does that job better. The pad needs replacing once it darkens or becomes saturated.

A second concentrate capsule is available on its own, useful if you switch material often during the day.

How to Use the Flowermate Aura

Three buttons and one screen cover everything, so a session runs like this.

  1. Loading: Grind your herbs, pull off the mouthpiece cap with a slight twist, and fill the ceramic chamber or a herb capsule. For wax or oil, place the material on the cotton pad of the concentrate capsule with the dabber end of the included tool, then set the capsule in the chamber.
  2. Closing: Press the cap back on and check it is seated firmly, especially before the loaded Aura goes into a pocket.
  3. Heating: Press the main button five times quickly to power on, then set your temperature with + and −. Heat-up takes up to about 60 seconds, and the steam symbol shows when the target is reached.
  4. Inhaling: Give the oven another 30 seconds to even out, then draw slowly and steadily. The first draws are the strongest, so go easy on them.
  5. Stirring: Open the cap partway through and stir the chamber to bring fresh material against the hot walls.
  6. Finishing: Five rapid presses power the Aura off. If you forget, it shuts off on its own after 5 minutes of non-use. Tip the capsule out or brush the chamber clear once it cools.

Battery and Charging, Between Sessions

A single 2600 mAh cell gives up to two hours of active heating per charge, and runtime shortens as you set higher temperatures. The cell is sealed inside, so it is not user-replaceable.

Charging runs through a micro-USB port and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. The cable is in the box and a wall adapter is not, so the Aura charges from any USB charger, laptop port or power bank you already own.

The Aura is charged between sessions, as it does not run while plugged in.

Cleaning Without a Fuss

A brush through the chamber after each session keeps the Aura in good shape, and the brush is included. Capsules screw open into two halves for filling and emptying.

Screens can be wiped or soaked in isopropyl alcohol, which extends their life by several rounds. Eventually resin clogs the mesh so badly that cleaning no longer helps, and that is when you should fit a new one.

New chamber screens and mouthpiece screens come in five-packs, both sold separately, and they are the simplest way to keep the airflow easy and the flavour clean.

Aura vs V5.0S Pro

The Flowermate V5.0S Pro V2 is the larger, box-shaped mid-tier portable in the same family. Two 2600 mAh cells give it around three hours of use against the Aura's two, and its OLED display shows set temperature, actual temperature and battery level all at once. The mouthpiece stows inside the body, and a water pipe adapter is available for it.

The Aura offers something different instead: a slimmer pen that stays cool. It is the thinner and lighter of the two at 103 g, and the plastic housing stays cool in the hand while the V5.0S Pro V2's body warms up in use. Both offer single-degree control across the same 40°C to 230°C range, so neither leads on precision.

Choose the V5.0S Pro V2 if you want longer runtime and a display that shows more information at once. Choose the Aura if you want a vaporizer that hides easily in a pocket and stays comfortable to hold for a whole session.

Aura vs CFC 2.0

The Boundless CFC 2.0 is a budget conduction portable in the same entry bracket, described on its own page as close to a thick pen. It is shorter and lighter at 13.2 cm and 85 g against the Aura's 14.7 cm and 103 g, its 0.5 g chamber takes larger loads, and a water pipe adapter comes in the box.

The Aura's advantage is that one pen handles three types of material. The CFC 2.0 handles dry herbs only, while the Aura's two included capsules cover herbs, wax and oil. Runtime is quoted differently for each: up to two hours of active heating for the Aura, 7 to 12 sessions per charge for the CFC 2.0.

Bigger dry-herb loads and water filtration favour the CFC 2.0. If one pocket-sized vaporizer has to cover concentrates as well as herbs, the Aura is the one that does it.

Recommended Accessories

Right now we offer a 25% discount on all accessories when you buy any vaporizer here at MagicVaporizers. Here is a guide to what pairs well with the Aura.

MV StashBox + 8 Accessories: Adds the 4-piece grinder the Aura does not include, plus a lockable bag where the pen travels safely alongside filled capsules and spare screens.

Herb Capsule: Pack several doses at home and drop a filled capsule into the chamber later, with no loose herbs to handle.

Concentrate Capsule: A second capsule for wax and oil means you do not have to stop and clean the chamber before going back to dry herbs.

Stainless Steel Stirring Tool: Stirring mid-session brings fresh material against the hot ceramic walls and evens out a conduction session.

TightVac MiniVac: An airtight pocket container that keeps herbs fresh and odours sealed, and a tidy place to store already-vaped herb (AVB) for later use.

TightVac Debowler: Tapping the chamber out over the Debowler empties it quickly and cleanly, straight into the MiniVac.

Mouthpiece: The plastic cap is the Aura's known weak point, so a second one keeps the vape in use if the first one cracks.

Chamber Screens: Protects the ceramic chamber and brings airflow back once resin has worked into the mesh.

Mouthpiece Screens: These sit inside the cap and catch fine particles, so airflow does not become more restricted over time.
